New Year Resolutions...AAAGAIN!!!!!!!!!

First I will pat myself on the back for getting in my 1000 miles of running in 2009. The last 4 days I needed 40 miles, which was hard, but I did it. I ran 1 half marathon and 4 marathons. The marathons were more fun this year because I had not really set any unrealistic goals for myself like I use to. I also completed a home project I had been putting off for 2 years. I finished the roof over the west bedroom. The goals I had set for myself in 2009 were: Run 500 miles, which I did. Bike 1000 miles, I only did around 350 miles, I guess I got things reversed. I also wanted to lose another 10 lbs., which I didn't. New years day of 2009 I weighted 236.4 lbs and New Years Day 2010 I am 240.0 lbs. I had been down to 217 lbs when Brandon and I were doing our Blog workouts together. Blood pressure was down with a lot more energy and I was able to get off most of my Asthma and cholesteral meds, I need to remember this. Complete the roof over the west bedroom, which I did. As you can see it was a very good year, which made turning 60 not really that bad.
Resolutiions for 2010. Keep my running fun. Run 1200 miles or Brandon say Over Achievers 1500 miles. Bike 1000 miles and complete a 100 mile century race. I'm 240 lbs now, get down to 200 lbs., over achievers 190 lbs and stay there. Enjoy the races I do. Swim a couple times a week with Carolyn. Finish both bathrooms in the house. I am learning that staying consistent is the key to success so Just Run.

  1. Sounds like some pretty achievable goals you have there. The century race sounds.....CRAZY!
I like that you and mom are swimming together a couple of times a week. It's good to have things to do together. Once again I think for me is the weight goal. As always I need to focus on my eating habits and everything else will fall into place. I know that is the key. It is going to be a good FITNESS year for all of us!!
