Mental health run!

Sunday! It was a sunny day with a temperature of 44 degrees, much better than 20. I just had to go for a run outside. I was able to run in my shorts and a long sleeve shirt. It was a teaser of things to come. I was out for 92 minutes, ran 7.01 miles and burned 1191 calories. I even did hills. I ran up 6th to 89 went south down off Lowery Hill, up Jensen Lane hill. Turned around and went down Jensen Lane Hill, up Palmer Hill to 5th west and home. Two good down hills and two good up hills. All I am able to do right now when I do the hills is run for one telephone pole then walk one until I get to the top. Injury update. Right shoulder feels pretty good. My right hip still hurts but I don't think that it is my only problem there. When I got a case of the shingles it was above my right hip. They say that the area where the out break occurred could become sore because the virus buries itself in the nerve endings close to the out break area and will become inflame when you over work that area. So it is not just the sciatic but the shingles giving me fits. I am stretching more which seem to be helping. Hopefully I can get back to losing weight again, a mental thing. Just Run.

  1. Hope you don't have a flare up with the shingles. I have herd it is pretty painful when it comes on. Sounds like you had a good day as far as the run. We seem to be on the down side of winter. It is overcast here but not too cold. Keep it up!
