Gazelle

I want soooo bad to post that I had a wonderful run. I want people driving down the highway to want to take up running because, when they passed me, they saw the look of total joy on my face. To those passersby I want to look like a well oiled machine, running with no effort and with the smoothness and grace of a Gazelle. NOT! Do I run because I love running or do I run for the way running make me feel when I am done. I have not had a delightful, endorphin pumping run in 6 months, a year, two years, I can't remember the last time I had a runners high. Do I continue to run because everyone I know associates me with running. Do I run because running makes me slim. I'm fat. Because it help my breathing. I can hardly breathe. Do I win races. I usually finish next to last.-----------I run because I can. I cannot imagine not running. Yes there is joy in running, because I can run. All the above would be great. I have been there before. Maybe not the Gazelle thing. I still have that memory. I want it again. I will have it again.........Sunday morning I weighed 231 for a total loss of -4 lbs. for 2010. I ran 5.01 miles outside in 22 degree weather, so take that treadmill, in 65 minutes and burned around 800 calories. Fun or not Be Consistent and Just Run

  1. I don't think that Gazelle runs in our blood. I think it's more of charging Rhino!! But hey people move for Rhino's, they don't care about being in a Gazelle's path. Sorry that the weather is freezing you to death. I wish I could send some of my weather your way. I won't tell you how nice the weather was this morning for my run.....ooppss! I guess I just told you...anyways it was around 70 this morning. I am glad that you are toughing through the weather, putting that strong Viking blood to good use for you. JUST RUN!! Love ya.

  2. Maybe it is a rhino wearing a gazelle costume? The visual makes me laugh. Well I know you will experience that runner's high again. Stay consistant and keep tracking!! Just run (even if you can't breath).
