HIIT
I took the day off work yesterday because allergies were acting up. Getting 10.5 hours sleep was great since I have had a hard time staying in bed longer than 7 or 7.5 hours because my body hurts so bad. When I get up and move I feel better. I started feeling somewhat better in the afternoon so I treadmilled it for 5.02 miles which burned 745 calories. Allergies were no worse after the run so I am glad that I got it in. My body is still sore from Salina Canyon but the runs haven't made it worse or better. I am going to start taking protein again. I have Whey for the daytime and I ordered some casein protein to take at bedtime. The casein is milk protein that is a slow digesting protein so it is perfect during the night to slowly feed the muscles so they can repair themselves. I eat a grapefruit with a banana or apple for breakfast. I will try and eat a salad at night. I have glutamine powder that is susposed to help with recovery which I will start taking again. I already take every vitimin out there. I have a slow metabolism. They say that High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) will rev up the metabolism. I don't workout in the mornings, I just got used to the afternoon workouts and they are a part of my life. Maybe I should try a fast HIIT workout when I get out of bed and see how that goes. 20 or 30 minutes is all that is susposed to be needed for it to work. Might try that in the morning

Just letting you know I haven't went anywhere. Been super busy at work and I decided to take this past week off to recuperate from 2-a-days the past month. The shin splints needed a good week to recover...I hope. I hit it hard and strong again on Monday and I will get serious about losing the weight and focusing on the marathon in December. I have dubbed this past week, "Fat week" and have gotten out all the things I was craving since I came back from the Philippines. Now I feel totally gross and want to clean eat forever!! Hopefully I haven't gained back all the weight I have lost. Keep up the strong work! Love ya.
