No more complaining for me
This is my first no complaining post. When things go wrong I will figure out how I can turn things around to benefit me. Sometimes we need to vent but I need to watch it so I don't turn it into a complaining session. The last few years I have signed up for different event that take place in the spring ( Ogden Marathon, Utah Valley Marathon, Moab Half, Hurricane Half). I have had to cancel many of the runs because of spring allergies. Sometimes it has been because I haven't been able to train because of allergies or it might be that I am having an allergy session during the time of the event. Most of these events require you to sign up early because they fill up so fast. I'm thinking that mid-summer or early fall events might be what I should be looking for. I do have fall allergies which can be a problem also so what do you do? Right now my conditioning is half marathon or sprint triathalon ready. Having to set out the Sand Hallow Triathalon was hard for me to do but going to St. George, with all of the flowers and things out, with already having breathing problems, would not have been to smart. If I would have went down, even to watch the guys, I know that I would have jumped in the water and made things worse. I need to do what I can, when I can, and not beat myself up over the limitations I have. There are spring, summer and fall runs and tri's, so I need to chose more wisely. The guys finished Sand Hallow and they said they are looking forward to do more triathalons in the future. They have one at Scofield Res. in July so maybe??????????? The really tough part of last week was no exercising at all. I am not complaining, I just need to get back on track as soon as these allergies let me.
