09/21/11

I need to get back to writing every day because it helps keep me motivated.  I have been down in the dumps the last while with the leg issue.  I talked to Dr. Burnham about blood clots and he ruled that out.  His exact words were, "the stress you placed on your legs during your 10,9,8,7 minute miles with no warm-up tore you up and with your advance age it will take as long as it takes to heal".  He might not have said advanced age but he implied it.  I am finding out the hard way that I can't get away with doing the same type of workout as often and as hard as I used to.  My mind says yes but the body is telling me no.  I will try and scale back, which I hope will let me be more consistent.  Monday I started back up my YRG class and worked out with them.  The workout was 30 minutes which burned close to 300 calories.  For those that don't remember this workout.  Yoga for Real Guys is Diamond Dallas Pages Yoga workout while keeping your muscles engaged (flexed).  I had a hard time staying engaged with the leg pain, so I went to the pain then backed off a little, which got me through the workout.  Took yesterday off working out.  Will try Insanity today and see how that goes.  If you guys are doing any workouts lets post them.  I am still having a hard time with getting into the Facebook thing
