Changing old habits one at a time

I really like the picture I posted on my blog home page of me running the Goblin Valley Ultra-Marathon in Oct. 09.  I look fairly thin and healthy, but the funny thing is my weight was 225.  I am 220 now and that makes me happy.  No run yet today to post.  My foot pod came yesterday and I can't wait to try it out.  It will have to wait until this afternoon.  Mom bought me a air popcorn popper some time ago.  Air popped is not that bad for you.  I do a big bowl and sprinkle sea salt on it and it is a little over 200 calories.  Alot of fiber so it is not that bad for you.  I think the change from Doritos to air popcorn is a healthy step in the right direction.  If we can make small changes like this until it becomes a habit we are heading in the right direction.

  1. Old habits are hard to break especially when it comes to good tasting food. But I think the key comes down to baby steps and switching out high calorie foods for low calorie food. The hard part is finding low calorie foods that taste as good as high calorie foods. That is the real trick. I think you are on the right path. Keep it up and you will get to the weight that you want to be. Love ya.
