Happy New Year everyone, time for some new goals. I have not workout since 11/04/12. I know I have problems with my health which include Rheumatoid Arthritis, Asthma, bad knee and newly found bulging disk in my lower back. I am no spring chicken with being 63 years old. So what to do now with my workouts with this limitations. I don't want to set myself up for failure again like I did most of last year. My runners mind says to go for broke and do some major cardio, but I have to be realistic. My first goal is to use this blog as my journal to record my eating and workout habits. With Billy going to Italy, it will be a good way to stay in touch. I am 243.2 pounds and I know I have to lose weight, not just want to, I have to if I want to do the things I like to do. So my second goal is to lose one pound a week. Don't sound like much but one pound a week adds up to 52 pounds by this time next year. So my third goal is to do some sort of workout 6 days a week, with a goal in mind to work towards being able to run again. Like I said, I don't want to set myself up for failure, so I will modify things that I have to. This has to be a positive year, so, I need to change my picture for inspiration. Will take the most unflattering picture of my fatso bod that I can legally post here.

Sounds like really reasonable goals. That is what I went for also. Something that is obtainable and not overwhelming to the point WHEN I fail everything falls apart. My main focus needs to be if I skip a workout, don't beat myself up about it, just move on to the next. OH YEAH, and eat better, eat better, EAT BETTER!!! That's my MAIN problem. My mouth is a black hole for junk food. We can do this, together. Love ya.
