What motivates us so we end up on the right track? What motivates us to make the right choices most of the time so we don't end up discouraged with ourselves. Is it health, so we can do things we like to do the rest of our life. Ego, so we know that we look good to ourselves and others. Goal setting, setting a goal and feeling the personal accomplishment of completing that goal. Why is it that some people have the will power to stay on track and others don't. Why is it we have to have a heart attack to get us to take care of ourselves. Normally I don't have trouble finding the motivation to get my workout in. What I struggle with more than anything is being as heavy as I am. Carrying the extra weight is complicating everything I do. I guess that is why the weight loss market sells billions of dollars of products.

I think I flip flop between every one of those reasons you mentioned. I guess I would call it the flavor of the week motivator. Being heavy sucks! It makes everything more difficult from menial tasks to finding cloths. I guess my main motivator has to be myself. I can't do this for anybody but me. Because in the end I have to answer to myself and live with the consequences that I choose. That is the biggest motivator I have. Love ya.
