That stupid cold has settled in my chest and is giving me fits. No exercise for the weekend. We went for a ride up Ephriam Canyon across the skyline, had a picknick at 12 mile campground, then came down 12 mile Canyon. The leaves were beautiful.

I haven't posted again for some time. I did get in a few workouts even with a cold. Came down with a cold over two weeks ago. I've been thru the sore throat stage for over a week and I am now in the coughing up crap stage. Ones that have had it say the next stage is the dry cough stage. Hey Ha can't wait. I got in a couple runs and yesterday did a 10 miles bicycle ride. Good that they were solo workouts (outside), so I could spit, hack and farmers blow throughout the wonderfull workout. Life is so good! Went to the Doctor monday. He's taking away the Enbrel and starting me on a new injectable biologic that works different from the Enbrel. Still on the Methotraxate and I.B.'s. Life goes on. Just need to keep my workout on

We need to remember September 11, 2001
Seldom do I remember where I was on any given day. This day is burned into my memory like nothing else. I was home sick when I got a call from Carolyn. She said to turn on the TV and that an airplane had just flown into one of the Twin Towers. A sad day in the history of the United States of America and one no citizen should ever forget. I see our country being torn apart with this administration and all of the infighting going on in congress. I see families being torn apart with different views as to what direction we should take. In my 63 years I don't remember this country being so divided, with no give on either side. Remembering back to that day on 9/11 I was instantly pissed off, angry beyond believe that someone could do an inhuman act like this. Then there was sadness with seeing Americans jumping from the tower, people covered in dust running down the street, the terror and confusion on every ones faces from cops, fireman and citizens. Then the anger again that someone would do such a senseless act to there fellow man. Then seeing everyone start helping each other. Putting aside there fears and problems to give a helping hand to whoever needed it. I started feeling such a sense of pride in what was happening on the streets of New York that day. That statement of "LETS ROLL" as the passengers took back that plane the only way they could. Americans pulling together like I have never seen. Everyone helping everyone. The news people on the edge of tears doing there jobs Cops and firemen rushing into where everyone else was trying to get out of. Rudy and Bush showing there inner strength that Americans needed as we are watch live TV of people jumping out of burning building. Watching live TV as the tower collapse into a rubble pile killing hundred as we watch. For a long time after this horrible day American stood as a united American. I saw this change for a long time after that attack. What is happening this 9/11/2012, eleven years later, that I fear a revolution is in the making. We are a country being torn apart by our leadership and that scares me. Sixty day from now we will know what direction the country will take. Until then we can pray and hope somehow we can find that pride, love, compassion and respect for this country we found after 9/11/01. I proudly call the United States of America my home with no excuses, no apologies to anyone

241.2////146/87///67
I like Brandon's post where he is now starting his posts with his weight, I will try this for awhile. Last month I gained 10 pounds and my blood pressure is up to 146/87 with a 67 pulse. When I run I run like I am in shape to run a hard run. With this blood pressure and weight I am setting myself up for that heart attack I posted about. I will start anew again. At this time I am not setting any goals other than to get in shape so I might feel better. I am hearing good things about nutrition and arthritis. So here we go again with the eating thing. Funny how it always comes back to eating right. We have the Polaris 4 wheeler home. I thought it was newer, but that is my fault for not finding out the year. The newer one have fuel injection and being an 04 this has the regular carb. The machine looks brand new and should give us many years of service as it only has 1105 miles on it. I don't have to buy tire as the ones on it will last at least a couple of years. Trying to do at least one thing on the house during the weekend so I can get can get caught up. Hung a new ceiling fan in the living room and it looks great. I sure have good taste

What motivates us so we end up on the right track? What motivates us to make the right choices most of the time so we don't end up discouraged with ourselves. Is it health, so we can do things we like to do the rest of our life. Ego, so we know that we look good to ourselves and others. Goal setting, setting a goal and feeling the personal accomplishment of completing that goal. Why is it that some people have the will power to stay on track and others don't. Why is it we have to have a heart attack to get us to take care of ourselves. Normally I don't have trouble finding the motivation to get my workout in. What I struggle with more than anything is being as heavy as I am. Carrying the extra weight is complicating everything I do. I guess that is why the weight loss market sells billions of dollars of products.

9/4/12
Had a fun trip with Carolyn to the Fort Bridger Rendezvous. It was bigger than the one in Pinedale, almost to big. Came home thru the Uintas which is always so beautiful. Sad to have Kenny in the hospital, he was the main reason we went to Bridger. Next Saturday we are going to Price to pick up a Polaris Sportsman 500 wheeler that we are buying from Les and Carol. It belonged to Uncle Bob and that are selling it for the estate. Good price so we couldn't pass it up. Plan on putting a snow plow on it. It is now time to get working on the house for the winter. I hung a new storm door on the back door, now for completing the siding. Clean the chimney and get some coal.
