Another flair up

I have been having some major pain with this crap.  Still trying to figure it out.  I know I am not the only one out there with this disease and I can't imagine having to live this way.  I have been off work the last two days.  I slept yesterday until 12:03 and today until 11:30.  All I do is toss and turn so I don't know why I stay there for so long.  This morning I could hardly get out of bed.  I have thought about doing acupuncture for some time.  Heather's dad suggested I try it as he has heard good results with arthritis.  I will try Dr. Rose in Richfield in the next week or so.  It hurts to lay around and it hurts to move, so I need to get back to moving around, at least it makes me a little healthier.  Sorry about the whine

08/17/12

We had a nice trip for Carolyn's birthday.  Wendover for a night with a visit the next day to see the Enola Gay Hanger and small museum.  I thought it was kind of ironic that we were setting outside the hanger taking picture in a brand new Japanese made Subaru Outback.  Who won that war?  Then we went to Jackpot, Nevada for the night.  Had a good time there.  Went the next day to Twin Falls, Idaho where Carolyn grew up.  Had a good time driving around see where she lived and reminiscing about where she went to school and such.  Went to both fall which were great.  Next day headed to Alturas Lake in the Sawtooth Mountain range.  Would have been great it the whole state wasn't on fire.  Four or five fire in the Sawtooth National Forest and a big one burning in the south mountains 15 miles south of Twin Fall.. Smoke, smoke and more smoke.  We made the best of it.  Give us a reason to go back to the Sawtooths.  We thought as we headed south towards Salt Lake the sky would clear up.  Not!  All the way to the Sanpete Valley was smokey.  Home was not as bad.  We only have 2 fires burning in Utah but have large fires burning in every state surrounding us.  Wind blowing the smoke into Utah.  Burns the lungs pretty bad.  I finally got in a mile and a half walk yesterday.  It loosened me up a bit

A year, a day at a time. Day 53. Week 8 Happy Anniversary Brandon and Heather!

It's funny how some days you just aren't feeling it but once you get into a workout everything come together.  That was my yesterday.  I was sore from the time I woke up to the time I got on the treadmill.  I had made up my mind to walk and see  how things went.  It seems that once I got a good sweat going everything turned around.   I loosened up and really got into it for the first time in a long time.  It was still a walk/run but this time I was able to get up to 5.5 mph and stay there for awhile.  Quite a bit more running than I normally do.  I could have easily got in the car and came home instead I gave it my all yesterday and boy did it pay off both mentally and physically.  So there you go.  Get dressed and give it a go for at least 15 minutes then if your not feeling it, stop, but I think you won't

A year, one day at a time. Day 52, Week 8.

Started my August out yesterday with a 16.43 miles bike ride.  Road from work around the Farmer Freeway to Christenburg Road to Broken Arrow.  Feels good to ride in the 90 degree heat but the shoulders, elbows, wrists and hands are paying the price.  I believe it will get better.  Right now if I go really hard one day I have to rest the next because I hurt so bad.  Trying to run one day and cycle the next.  Not complaining, just trying to figure it out, while working hard

A year, one day at a time. Day 50. Week 8.

Ran yesterday for 3.51 miles.  Last month was a little better with having ran 34.22 miles and cycled 32.06 miles.  Working thru my health problems this way is the way to go.  I THINK!  I will try harder this month on the weight loss and see if I can get better numbers.  Things can be done it is just finding the will power to do it
